Growth Done Right
As a 15-year resident of Ward 3, I've watched Stouffville grow quickly, and how we grow next will define what kind of town we become. Growth should strengthen our community, not strain it. More homes and more people should mean better parks, better facilities, and a stronger town centre for everyone in Ward 3.
Our Youth
Our kids deserve a town that gives them somewhere to grow. That means real investment in sports fields, rinks, trails, and youth programs: the everyday places where friendships form and futures take shape. If we get this right, the next generation won't have to move away to build a life. They'll be able to build it right here.
Our Seniors
Our seniors built the Stouffville we all enjoy today, and they deserve to stay in their community. As costs rise, longtime residents shouldn't be forced out of the town they helped create. I'll work to keep Stouffville a place where seniors can stay close to family, friends, and community, without worrying about being priced out of their own hometown.
Responsible Planning
None of this happens by accident. It takes responsible, long-term planning, not short-term decisions that trade away parks, land, and public assets for a quick win. I'll bring that discipline to council: plan ahead, protect what we own, and grow Stouffville in a way that benefits every generation, for decades to come.
A neighbour who understands Ward 3
Bryan Stott is a proud resident of Ward 3 and has called this community home for the past 15 years. After the loss of his wife, Elizabeth, in 2019, Bryan later met Theresa — and her son, Damian, has since become part of their family alongside Bryan's own children. Bryan understands, firsthand, the importance of stability, opportunity, and strong local leadership for families in Stouffville.
Professionally, Bryan works with Tarion Warranty Corporation as a Manager of Stakeholder Relations, where he helps homeowners, builders, inspectors, and real estate professionals understand their rights and responsibilities within Ontario's new home warranty system. His work is rooted in clarity, fairness, and making sure people have the information they need to make informed decisions.
Earlier in his career, Bryan investigated illegal building activity and worked directly with provincial regulations and legislation.
As a parent of teenagers, Bryan understands the financial pressures families face, from the rising cost of sports and extracurricular activities to preparing for post-secondary education. He also recognizes the challenges seniors face, including fixed incomes and increasing costs of living, and believes local government must make responsible decisions that keep Stouffville affordable for families, young people, and seniors alike.
Bryan's interest in public service was shaped early by his father, who instilled in him the importance of civic engagement and standing up for others. That belief continues to guide his campaign: listening to residents, representing their concerns, and ensuring their voices are not only heard, but acted upon.
Beyond his professional work, Bryan is deeply committed to community involvement. He has coached youth hockey with the Stouffville Clippers and youth baseball with the Stouffville Yankees, and has volunteered at local events such as the Strawberry Festival, supporting the community spirit that makes Ward 3 a great place to live.
Bryan is running because he believes in strong, transparent leadership that listens to residents, understands the issues, and delivers practical solutions that benefit the entire community.

Responsible Growth
Stouffville is growing, and that growth must be guided with care, responsibility, and common sense. Bryan supports home building and construction done in a responsible, measured way — not overdevelopment, not building everywhere without a plan, and not growth that leaves existing residents behind.
Growth should focus on building homes, not just houses. That means planning communities where families can thrive, where infrastructure supports daily life, and where development fits the long-term needs and character of Stouffville.
When new development happens, it should benefit the whole town. Bryan believes builders and developers should help improve sports fields, recreational facilities, parks, and community amenities so that all residents benefit from growth.
Sports, Recreation & Tourism
Stouffville has a real opportunity to become a destination for sports, recreation, and local tourism. Bryan supports investing in a broad mix of indoor and outdoor recreational facilities that can attract a wide range of sports, activities, and events throughout the year.
The skating trail is a unique local asset that should be marketed more effectively as a winter destination. Memorial Park also has significant potential for revitalization, including features such as a beach volleyball area that could support tournaments and bring more visitors into town.
Improved recreation infrastructure can help Stouffville attract youth and amateur sports, tournaments, and community events from across Ontario and the northern United States. When visitors come to town for sports and activities, local restaurants, small businesses, and accommodations benefit, creating new economic activity and a broader, more sustainable tax base.
Bryan also believes tourism should extend beyond sports. Developing the area as a wine tourism destination should be part of a larger strategy to bring more visitors to Stouffville and support local businesses through hospitality, food, recreation, and tourism experiences.
Traffic & Mobility
Traffic has become a growing frustration for residents, especially in Ward 3, where many people need to cross town multiple times a day. Bryan believes the town needs a more coordinated traffic management plan that improves how the system works, not just where roads are built.
That includes better synchronization of traffic lights, more effective use of advance greens, and clearer planning when road construction is taking place. Residents deserve better communication, better coordination, and a practical plan that helps traffic move more efficiently and reduces unnecessary delays.
Responsive Representation
Residents deserve a councillor who is accessible, responsive, and willing to listen. Bryan is committed to responding to calls and emails within 24 hours whenever possible and being open and available to the residents of Ward 3 and Stouffville.
Good leadership starts with listening. Bryan wants to hear directly from residents, understand their concerns, and work with them to find practical solutions that strengthen the community.
Ethics & Decorum
Public office requires integrity, independence, and respect. Bryan will uphold strong ethical standards, remain independent in his decision-making, and bring professionalism and proper decorum to council.
He believes residents deserve transparent, honest, and accountable leadership, and that Stouffville should be represented with pride, ethics, and a commitment to doing what is right for the community.
Fiscal Responsibility
Bryan believes Stouffville can improve and grow without relying on large tax increases or new user fees that make it harder for residents to participate in community programs and events. He supports identifying new and sustainable revenue streams through tourism, recreation, smart partnerships, and well-planned growth.
The goal is to create new improvements for the town in a fiscally responsible way while keeping Stouffville affordable for families, seniors, and young people.
Protecting Public Assets
Publicly owned assets in Stouffville are limited, valuable, and important to the future of our town. They should be managed well and preserved wherever possible, not traded away for short-term gains that leave residents with fewer options in the years ahead.
A responsible council must think long term. That means protecting the assets we have, using them wisely, and ensuring public decisions strengthen Stouffville for future generations rather than weakening our ability to shape our own community.
